Concealed Carry Protocol~

Too bad he felt the need to exploit the tragedy at Virginia Tech to try to make his point. The video lost any credibility that it may have had for me after the first 10 seconds. As a graduate, it saddens me that people use the massacre as a tool to promote their agenda (regardless of which side they happen to be on).

I don't see how this exploits (To make use of selfishly or unethically) any situation. Plus being 9 minutes in he hasn't said anything about VT and has only mentioned Ft Hood so far.

PS you spelled tyrannis wrong.

I like Nutnfancy...his videos are informative and well done. Ofcourse there will always be someone who feels the need to gripe and complain.

My post wasn't meant to "gripe" or "complain." He has valid points and I'm not denying that, but other images and examples could have helped him make his point to the same effect. I have some close ties to that incident so I may be somewhat biased.

To exploit doesn't always have to be unethical, but to make productive use of or to further his cause which is an acepted definition of exploitation. He is obvoiusly pro carry (as am I). His intro uses the images from the incident at Tech as a lead in to his "you have to decide whether or not to break the carry rules." He briefly discusses that there may be consequences for breaking the rules, but the images, (along with his commentary) are presented in a way to suggest breaking the rules or leaning in that direction. The Tech images are graphical examples used to further his point in which case it seems to fit the definition of exploitation to me.

Would his message have the same effect if the intro used footage of kittens playing with a ball of yarn?

Actually somewhere in the 8-9 minute range he makes a comment on how the VT campus has a no-carry rule. (I believe that he calls it "stupid.")

Duly noted and corrected.

It is stupid, and someone who went to VT and knew the situation first hand should understand that there is a chance that someone who broke the rules and carried a weapon on campus may have saved lives. Which is nutnfancies point. So should nobody be allowed to discuss the issue of carry with regards to school shootings?

I advocate breaking this and many other rules all the time, I don't need some government bureaucrat telling me what is safe for me and what isn't. When people look to the federal mafia for permission to do things you become a slave.

I wasn't arguing his point. Nor was I suggesting what anyone should be allowed to discuss (i'm not sure where that was inferred previously).

I was just saying that he could have made his point just as effectively (and perhaps a little more tastefully) in a way other than using images of dead students set to ominous music.
